Groups
Normally you will explore, then interact, and then do the assignments. However in this first lesson your professor would like to get some information to get to know you better.
Much of your work in this class will be within smaller learning groups. You will be randomly assigned to a group of 4 or 5 group members. After Discussion 8, you will be randomly assigned to a different group with new group members to broaden your experience and receive additional points of view from other class members. Your reliability and dependability are important to other members of your group, just as their reliability will be important for you. Read the Social Contract on the next page and indicate your willingness to do your part to make your group effective through answering the questions in the Introductory Survey. The Social Contract explains the importance of doing your work in a professional and timely manner so that it does not negatively impact the other students in your group. In this lesson we also want you to become familiar with the current educational issues assignment and get registered for some free resources which will make this assignment much easier for you and provide you with other great teaching ideas along the way.
Read the Social Contract on the next page and then complete the Introductory Survey / Social Contract Acceptance.
