Exam Proctoring

This Online class requires that exams be taken in the Classroom Testing Center on the UVU Campus following the class's schedule. Students that live outside of Utah County may request to have their exams proctored at a UVU Certified Proctor Location. Below is information that will help you be prepared and ready to take exams regardless of where you are.

Students are responsible to establish their testing needs and to request exam materials.


Classroom Testing Center

Exams are available in the UVU Classroom Testing Center (CTC). Please review your course information and schedule for specific exam availability. Make sure to check the hours of operation prior to traveling to the CTC.

Instructions for testing at UVU Classroom Testing Center

Please bring and know the following information.

  1. Bring a non-expired photo ID with you. Driver’s License, UV ID card, State ID card, or Military ID card, etc.. (required)
  2. Know your UV ID#, Course name and number with section #, Instructor and the name of the exam.
  3. Know how to access your exam (Canvas, Mymathlab, Myitlab, etc..).
  4. Know the browser that is required for your exam. Google Chrome is the browser to use for accessing Canvas exams.
  5. Please do not bring personal items with you to the CTC. Cell phones must not be accessed in anyway while taking your exam.

Parking Information

  1. You may obtain a one day parking pass from Parking Service if needed. Parking Service hours are 7am-5pm.
    • The $2.00 one day parking pass may be used in student lots L8 & L9.
    • The free purple parking pass may be used in student lot L10. (This pass is good for 1 year.)

Proctored Exams

Students outside of Utah County may want to secure an Exam Proctor. A Proctor is someone who will administer the exam(s) in a certified testing environment. Students are responsible for finding an exam proctor in a timely manner, requesting exam materials, and for paying any fees charged by Exam Proctors.
